Salary $90,000 - $105,000 plus bonus  

Req Description Promote and extend consultancy to clients. Perform and lead research and studies on development of electrical power systems; assist in or manage projects via coordination of various activities including, but not limited to, simulation studies and analyses, product implementation, delivery and customer support.

Plan, conduct, coordinate and recommend regarding varied analytical electric power system studies, such as transmission expansion planning and power market analysis. Develop software tools to simulate and evaluate electric energy market economics and operations. Analyze engineering and financial requirements of proposed programs, develop proposals and coordinate associated activities up to and including product delivery, installation and customer support.

Serve as technical consultant and advisor for clients. Negotiate with customers on technical and financial matters.

Design and develop complex computer models or simulations of power systems and conduct independent studies and research encompassing advanced analytical techniques.

Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technology and market trends affecting Company products and services and recommend responsive actions.
 

Education Bachelor's Degree (3-4 years) in Electrical Engineering, with advanced degree (Master or Ph.D) in Electrical Power Engineering or Economics/Finance preferred.  

Interpersonal Skills Excellent written and oral communication skills required.  

Work Experience A minimum of 10 years of experience in the electric power industry is required.

Requires in-depth knowledge of the planning, operation and design of the electrical power industry. Requires experience in promoting and marketing consulting services, and the ability to negotiate and influence decisions of Company managers and customers.

Extensive experience in the following power system simulation tools to conduct power system studies is required: powerflow, transient stability, electromagnetic transients, harmonics and electric energy market simulation.

Programming skills required.
